Want to enjoy brunch in West Chester, PA?

If you live in the area, you’ll never have to travel too far to treat yourself to brunch.

Many West Chester brunch spots are available — and each provides guests with unforgettable dining experiences.

For those on the lookout for the best brunch in West Chester, here are five restaurants you need to check out.

1. Nudy’s Café

Since 1979, Nudy’s Cafe on West Market Street has proudly served the West Chester community.

At 12 years old, Ray Nudy worked at his father’s restaurant in Villanova, where he learned the ins and outs of the business.

Today, he owns and operates Nudy’s, a brunch restaurant that promises to make guests “feel welcome, nourished, and excited about coming back because of our excellent service and freshly made, great food,” according to Nudy.

In terms of brunch favorites, Nudy’s offers something for everyone.

Nudy’s menu includes egg benedicts, florentines, omelets, pancakes, and other brunch fare. Along with these options, Nudy’s provides crepes, a lox and cream cheese platter, and other specialty items. It also serves amazing pumpkin cake, apple cake, and “best ever” carrot cake French toast.

“We are visiting West Chester and have eaten at Nudy’s twice. Both times were an excellent experience. Food was great and service was exceptional. I was so impressed with the professionalism and care that our servers showed on both occasions.” —William B.

2. Roots Cafe

Located on East Gay Street, Roots Cafe serves brunch every day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Roots’ brunch menu includes two “must-try” dishes: the ROOTS hot chicken sandwich and bacon arugula breakfast sandwich.

Roots offers vegan chorizo hash and salmon benedict specials for those who want to sample something slightly different for brunch.

If you want a brunch you can enjoy with family and friends, Roots serves French toast bites, rainbow carrots, spicy cucumbers, and other shareables.

Roots guests can also dine indoors in the restaurant’s rustic space or outdoors on the patio (weather permitting).

“Came here for my birthday brunch and the food did not disappoint! There were a decent amount of vegetarian options to choose from. My sandwich was a good sized portion and was delicious, and the cocktail I had was excellent. They came out very quickly too. It’s cute inside, but my only complaint is that the tables are very very close together so we were kind of uncomfortably close to other guests. I’d be interested in checking out the patio next time.” —Anna U.

3. Penn’s Table Restaurant

In 1976, Penn’s Table Restaurant took over the building on West Gay Street that was historically Weiner Pharmacy.

The ownership of Penn’s has changed over the years. Regardless, Penn’s “spirit, ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food” has remained the same since its inception, the restaurant points out.

Penn’s offers a wide range of three-egg omelets and breakfast sandwiches for brunch.

Additionally, Penn’s serves raisin-bread French toast, buttermilk pancakes, and other tasty items from the griddle.

If you prefer something light, Penn’s provides a fruit bowl, yogurt parfait, and other low-calorie menu options.

And if you want something unique, Penn’s can prepare avocado toast, a “WIZ WIT” breakfast burrito, and other specialty menu items.

“Awesome eggs Benedict, hollandaise sauce was so refreshing and light with a great lemon zest flavor, cinnamon raisin french toast was extra on the cinnamon, probably would try the regular French toast next time, great to sit outside in the morning and enjoy a September breeze.” —Patrick Shaw

4. Two Birds Cafe

On the outskirts of West Chester on Downingtown Pike lies Two Birds Cafe, a family-run, scratch kitchen that serves brunch all day.

Two Birds offers a variety of brunch classics, including eggs benedict, French toast, and buttermilk pancakes.

At the same time, the restaurant provides Nutella toast, vegetable hash, and many other distinct brunch items.

No matter what you order from the Two Birds menu, it’s made from locally sourced ingredients.

Any time you visit the restaurant, its staff wants you to feel like you’re a part of the Two Birds family. To achieve their goal, staff members will genuinely converse with you, hear your stories, and provide you with an exceptional experience.

Two Birds offers both dine-in and takeout options if you want brunch at the restaurant or on the go.

“Came here for lunch and loved it! The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food was well prepared and delicious! The potatoes were well seasoned and their toast was so good! Haven’t had that good of a breakfast in awhile & it definitely fulfilled me. They serve breakfast all day! They have quite big servings and you can easily take a box home.”—SARE

5. Ram’s Diner

Committed to doing its best with strength, honesty, and pride, Ram’s Diner on South High Street prioritizes customer satisfaction.
