For an awe-inspiring meal that may make you think you’ve just dined in northern Italy, make the trip to dolce Zola on East Gay Street. Serving traditional Italian dishes and one-of-a-kind creations from husband and wife Pietro Belfiore and Antonella Gamba, dolce Zola offers an extensive menu.
The restaurant provides a large selection of fresh pasta dishes served with fish, meat, and vegetables. If you enjoy ravioli, dolce Zola offers lobster, mushroom, and spinach and ricotta options. There’s also a prix fixe menu that gives you the option to treat yourself to a three-course dinner for $50.
This restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 4 p.m. and closes at 8 p.m., 9 p.m., or 10 p.m., depending on the day you visit. It offers indoor and outdoor dining options.

The staff really made this experience for me, and were extremely helpful. The waitress came by after we ordered our appetizer (carpaccio), and started to profusely apologize that the chef had accidentally made a smaller portion. She gave us another one, completely free of charge! To be honest, we wouldn’t of even realized the size difference if the waitress wouldn’t of pointed it out. Testa Rossa recently opened on Baltimore Pike across from White Dog Cafe Glen Mills in the Shoppes at Brinton Lake, roughly a 15-minute drive from West Chester.
Testa Rossa offers “Italian-American cuisine in a fun, casual setting,” according to Main Line Today. The restaurant offers a 1960s-inspired design, comfortable booths, a central bar, and indoor and outdoor seating. It also features a simple and casual menu consisting of salads and fish, meat, and vegetable dishes.
